We are just a few weeks away from one the most historic inaugurations in our nation's history. I expect thousands of Vermonters will be in Washington, DC to celebrate. If you are one of those Vermonters, I wanted to make sure you knew about the Vermont State Society Inaugural Reception on Sunday, January 18, 2009, 8pm - 11pm.

The Vermont State Society (VTSS) was founded in January 2008, as the 49th chapter of the National Conference of State Societies. This social organization was formed by Washington area residents who have a strong affinity for Vermont. VTSS will hold events throughout the year to further the local appreciation of, and connections to, Vermont. I am pleased to support this celebratory event.

The reception will be a great way for Vermonters to connect and commemorate this inauguration. It will take place at a venue adjacent to the Capitol where you can enjoy a rooftop view of Washington,DC at night.
